I had a minor 'oh sh*t' moment myself when I read that...same as when I reached Level 9 in Sub3, because I automatically went to the right.

The first time I played Sub3, I panicked when saw the broken map displays.

So I've probably missed the boat on this, but I was wondering what the generally agreed theory on when Mur's death takes place is? In the Temple, he's clearly been dead a long time, is mummified even, but didn't he need us to disable the subnet defence systems in the edge so his invasion of the core could take place? Which means he had to still be alive at least up until the end of the Core, because of all the stuff we see in the later games that prove the invasion did happen.

Some times Matt stated there could me much time travel during our adventure through games. (especially after using portal in Sub2).
Now I can't say with certainty WHEN Mur was dead. I can't even say WHEN we were and WHEN we are right now. :D
